GREGORY L. FLORANT MENTORING FELLOWSHIP

1) Full-time undergraduate student who has completed their sophomore year, and is pursuing a major in the Departments of Biology; Biochemistry & Molecular Biology; Chemistry; Computer Science; Physics; Mathematics; or Microbiology, Immunology, & Pathology OR full or part-time graduate student pursuing a degree in same majors as undergraduate requirement 2) Conducting research in a lab with a tenure-track faculty member in the College of Natural Sciences at Colorado State University 3) Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA 5) Preference shall be given to students with a degree program in the Department of Biology . Incoming students may come from a different university with the intent to graduate from CSU with a master’s degree or Ph.D. in the Department of Biology 4)Preference to students who are first-generation or low -income students 5) Preference shall be given to students who participate and demonstrate compassion by helping to build and/or provide mentorship in various communities, which may include, but is not limited to, volunteering at the food bank or participation in a student organization (Each fellowship may be renewable if the recipients(s) reapplies annually, continues to meet all criteria and is chosen by the selection committee)
