1) Full-time junior or senior student with any major and previously or currently in a creative writing course 2) Financial need 3) Good academic standing 4) Exceptional writer in the genre of poetry, drama, fiction, or nonfiction essay demonstrated in material submitted with scholarship 5) Role model of character, integrity, courage, self and social responsibility, appreciation and respect for diverse people, ideas, talents, abilities, and cultures as evident from writing samples and personal statement submitted with scholarship
