MICHAEL SMITH SCHOLARS IN GEOSCIENCES

1) Resident of Colorado 2) Pursuing a degree in the Department of Geosciences in the Warner College of Natural Resources 3) Have enrolled as a full-time freshman student pursuing a first Bachelor’s degree at CSU, or be a full-time continuing undergraduate student in the Geosciences Department, or be a full-time undergraduate student who transfers into the department from another department at CSU or from another institution throughout the state of Colorado 4) Demonstrate financial need as established by the Office of Student Financial Services of CSU or demonstrate a financial hardship preventing the student from academic success at CSU 5) Exhibit academic achievement demonstrated by grade point average, scholastic aptitude test scores, as well as academic rigor (It is the intent of the scholarship that each Michael Smith Scholar (a total of at least ten scholars) is awarded full tuition per academic year, and is renewable provided the recipient continues to meet all criteria, maintains good academic standing and reapplies annually. No student shall be awarded more than eight semesters of support.)
