AFWA Denver Chapter Scholarship

Overview
The Denver Chapter for AFWA awards several scholarships each August for the upcoming academic year. As our organization grows, so does our ability to offer financial assistance to outstanding accounting/finance students. In addition, to be considered for the scholarship, the following documents must be
included: Official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended; Letters of recommendation from three different references; And a 50-200 word
essay describing: your career goals; objectives; detailing how this scholarship will help you to reach those goals; and explain your financial need.

Eligibility
Scholarship candidates will be reviewed based on leadership, character, communication skills, scholastic average and financial need. Candidates must:
– have completed 60 semester hours or the equivalent, by the application deadline
– have declared major in accounting or finance
– have a minimum cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent
– be attending a Colorado college or university.
