School-Based Youth Mentor

Overview
The Partners School-Based Mentoring Program provides contracted services to Poudre School District (please note, we are also in schools in Loveland, Estes Park, and Greeley). The program places community volunteers into the schools to provide one-to-one mentoring services to students who are facing significant challenges in their social, academic, and/or personal lives. Students (mentees) are matched with an adult volunteer (mentor) based on the needs of the adolescent and on the schedules, personalities, and interests of both the mentee and mentor. Mentors spend a minimum of 1 hour per week with their mentee and commit for at least one academic school year. Partnerships spend time together doing various activities that help them build a relationship with one another. Activities could include: eating lunch together, playing games, shooting hoops, working on an art project, or just hanging out and talking.

Eligibility
Successful completion of screening process according to Partners and specific school district standards. Please note, volunteers are required to complete background checks with a cost.
