1) Incoming freshman-any major 2) Upper 5% of graduating class [#1 or #2 if class is fewer than 40] 3) Evidence of scholastic ability, leadership, community/school service, outstanding character 4) Financial need (The scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, room and board. May be applied toward a University approved study abroad program. May be renewed for up to 8 undergraduate semesters; requires undergraduate status, min 3.0 cum GPA, report at end of each yr.)

  1. The Monfort Scholarship is for students entering Colorado State University as first-time freshmen in the upcoming fall semester. To be eligible for one of these awards you must submit a complete application for admission to Colorado State University by February 1, ensure Teacher Recommendation and General Recommendation are received by March 1, rank in the top five percent of your graduating class if ranked (or ranked one or two in a class of 40 students or less), Colorado resident, graduating from high school by August of the year of college enrollment. Please provide name and email address of teacher who can provide a recommendation for you.
  2. Please provide the name and email address of a second individual (counselor, principal, community member, etc.) who can provide a recommendation for you.
