Reputation Rhino Protection and Preservation of Wildlife and Nature Scholarship
At the beginning of the 20th century, 500,000 rhinos roamed Africa and Asia. Today, only 27,000 rhinos remain in the wild — a result of increased trade in rhino horn and poaching.
At Reputation Rhino, we believe that we are custodians and caretakers of the planet, and have a strong responsibility to protect endangered species from extinction.
This scholarship will support students with a demonstrated interest and career plan in the conservation of endangered species.
Plants and animals are disappearing at an alarming rate, and the natural ecological systems that all species, including humans, depend upon are at serious risk. Why is this a global concern?
What successful strategies and tactics have been used to protect endangered species? What practical steps can we, as individuals, communities, and countries, take in the immediate future to protect vulnerable species and their habitats?
