Overview
Great Lakes Energy (GLE) is a not-for-profit electric cooperative with nearly 300 employees serving more than 125,000 members in rural areas of northern and western Michigan. We are pleased to offer four scholarships in the academic year: two scholarships for students pursuing a degree related to Electrical Engineering and two scholarships for students pursuing a degree related to Information Technology.

Eligibility
Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, based on a 4.0 scale.
Applicant must be a resident of Michigan.
Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited university or college for the fall term and/or spring term of that year

Award
$2,500 each for full-time students or $1,250 each for part-time students

Lineworker program

Overview
Great Lakes Energy (GLE) is a not-for-profit electric cooperative with nearly 300 employees serving more than 125,000 members in rural areas of northern and western Michigan. We are pleased to offer six scholarships in the 2023-24 academic year for students pursuing certification or a degree related to a Pre-Apprentice Electrical Lineworker program.

Eligibility
Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, based on a 4.0 scale.
Applicant must be a resident of Michigan.
Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited educational institution during the academic year.

$1,000 each
